Assistant Chief Adam Dorn

Welcome to the website for Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue. My name is Adam Dorn and it is my honor to be your Assistant Chief of Fire Prevention / Fire Marshal.

My fire and EMS service career started on July 5, 2000 when I joined my local volunteer fire department and first responder organizations. I started attending Fox Valley Technical College shortly thereafter, and earned my Associates Degree as a Fire Protection Technician, during which time I was an intern here at Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue. The pursuit of my career goals continued by immersing myself into the workings of providing emergency medical care with two private ambulance companies in the Milwaukee area. During this time I also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Fire and Emergency Response Management from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh.

In November of 2006 I accepted an offer to work for the Fitchburg Fire Department, Fitchburg, WI, as a Firefighter/Inspector. These last 15 years I served the community as a company officer, firefighter/inspector, apparatus operator, fire investigator, and public education coordinator. My time in this municipal, suburban fire department has led me to oversee the development and delivery of fire prevention, inspection, investigation, and fire and life safety education programs, in addition to education and training members of the fire service and the public. I have been fortunate to be a part of all aspects of departments, from those which are completely volunteer, to those who are staffed by career personnel.

As the Assistant Chief /Fire Marshal, it is my objective to continue to build upon the quality programs and contributions that have been established by the NMFR staff through Community Risk Reduction activities, the prevention for the need of emergency response, and quality public education for all age levels. In order to achieve this, we will continue to develop and implement quality programs to ensure the excellence of service we provide to the communities. We also look forward to building partnerships with local and regional partners, both in the public and private settings to further the reach and effectiveness of our fire prevention and education efforts.

It is truly an honor, and humbling, to be representing this department where I began my fire service career and serve these great communities.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, comments, concerns, or ideas that you may have that will help continue to keep our community safe.
