Stations
Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue has a total of four stations. There are two within each city that provide services for both the Cities of Neenah and Meansha. Station 31 is located at 1080 Breezewood Lane in Neenah. This station was formerly on Cecil Street in Neenah. A new facility was built on Breezewood Lane in 1995 to accomodate the growth on the west side of the city. The Cecil Street station closed in 1995 when the new facility on Breezewood Lane opened. Fox Valley Technical College leases space from the City of Neenah for their Regional Training Center. The Regional Training Center is attached to Station 31 and is used by students who are pursuing a degree in Fire Protection. This facility is also used by area fire departments for training in fire simulations. Click Here to see a photo of Station 31. Station 32 is located at 125 E. Columbian Avenue in the City of Neenah. It was built in 1962 and renovated in 1998. This station is also used by the Chief and all support staff. This station is the main facility that provides inspections for both Cities. It also houses Boat 32 which is provided by Winnebago County. Boat 32 is used for ice and water rescues on Lake Winnebago. Click here to see a photo of Station 32. Station 35 is located at 430 First St. in the City of Menasha. This facility is designed to share space with the Menasha Police Department. Station 35 was originally located on Main Street (where the current Knots Landing Restaurant is today). In 1977, the City of Menasha purchased a ladder truck and after it was delivered to the station they felt the station floor could not handle the weight of the truck and it was too tight of a fit for the truck to fit in the garage at that station . Therefore, the new station on First Street was constructed sooner than they anticipated. The new ladder truck was housed at Station 36 until the new station on First Street was completed in 1979. This station is also currently used for maintenance of vehicles for Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue. Click here to see a photo of Station 35. Station 36 is located at 901 Airport Road. In 1969 the City of Menasha decided to start it's own ambulance service. They built Station 36 and hired twelve more people to help fulful this need. The ambulance service was taken over by Gold Cross Ambulance in the late 1970's and this service was discontinued by the Menasha Fire Department. This is a realtively small station that services the east side of the City of Menasha. The City of Menasha is looking at building a new station to accomodate the growth on the City's east side. The location of Station 36 has increased respond times due to the growth of the east side of the City and the facility is in need of many major repairs. Watch for more information in the upcoming year on the progress of the new station. Click here to see a photo of Station 36.
